The Vulture City Forge offers live demonstrations, Farrier services and a variety of classes. You can even take a class and make your own handmade items to last a lifetime or earn your certifications! Join us for a beginner knife making class onsite in our new blacksmith shop, Vulture City Forge.

The purpose of Vulture City Forge is to “Educate, Demonstrate and Fabricate” all aspects of Blacksmithing, Bladesmithing, and Metal Art. We offer public and private Blacksmithing demonstrations, hands on workshops and classes, as well as “one of a kind” metal art. Our resident Blacksmith, Brock Phalen is a second generation Blacksmith and Farrier with more than 30 years experience. He grew up on the southern California coast working with his Father and two brothers in the Blacksmith/Farrier industry for many years. Brock later moved to Arizona where he owned and operated his own farrier business and started his Blacksmithing Art business. Brock has had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the best Blacksmith artists from around the world. Brock has a passion for all things metal. He has done everything from making his own iron from black sand to building large public art sculptures from re-purposed scrap metal. Brock looks forward to using his Blacksmithing experience to educate, demonstrate and fabricate amazing ironwork for everybody who visits Vulture City Forge.
